Who we are

Vella Digital provides IT consulting, web development, and business automation services to clients worldwide. In this policy, "we", "us", and "our" refer to Vella Digital.

Information we collect

Information you give us

This website asks for information in one place: the contact form. That form collects your name and email address, and optionally your business name, phone number, website, country, the service you are interested in, and whatever you write in the message field.

If you email us or speak to us directly, we keep what you send so that we can respond and carry on the conversation.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, we collect basic technical information about visits, such as the type of browser and device used, the general region a visit came from, which pages were viewed, and which site a visitor arrived from. This is used as anonymous statistics to understand how the site is performing. It is not used to identify you.

We also record the IP address that submits the contact form, for a short period, purely as a spam and abuse check. The form is also protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a real person is submitting it. Cloudflare processes technical information about your browser for that check only, as described in Cloudflare's Turnstile privacy addendum.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. We use them only where they serve a purpose: to keep the site working as you move between pages, and, where analytics are enabled, to measure site usage in aggregate.

You can refuse or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Parts of the site may behave differently if you do.

How we use your information

We use what you give us to reply to your enquiry, to prepare a proposal or quote, to deliver and support any work you engage us for, and to send the invoices and records that go with it.

We use the anonymous statistics to see which pages are useful and to improve the site. We do not use your information for automated decision-making, and we do not add you to a marketing list from an enquiry alone.

Sharing your information

We do not sell, rent, trade or give away your personal information.

We share it only where it is necessary: with the service providers that run this site and our business tools on our behalf, such as hosting, email, analytics, telephony, payment and invoicing providers, and only so far as they need it to provide that service; and where we are required to do so by law, or need to in order to establish or defend a legal claim, or to prevent fraud or abuse.

If our business were ever transferred to another owner, information could transfer with it, and this policy would continue to apply to it.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries and correspondence for as long as we may reasonably need them for the conversation they belong to and for our business records, and we delete them when they are no longer needed. Records we are required to keep for tax or accounting purposes are kept for the period the law requires. If you ask us to delete your details, we will, except where we are legally required to retain something.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can ask us to stop using it for a particular purpose, and you can object to us using it at all. To do any of these, email hello@velladigital.com and we will deal with it. There is no charge, and you do not need to give a reason.

Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under your local privacy laws. We will honour those rights where they apply to you.

Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection, and we keep the number of people and systems that can reach your information to the minimum needed to do the work. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take it seriously and we act quickly if something goes wrong.

This site may link to other websites. We are not responsible for their content or for their privacy practices, and this policy does not apply to them. Read their policies before giving them your information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or the tools we use change. The current version is always the one published on this page, and the "last updated" date at the top tells you when it last changed.
